In somatic movement, the breath rules.

The easy, natural flow of the breath allows muscles, tight for years and sometimes even decades, to release, lengthen and relax. How it works in somatic movement is that the breath increases our inner awareness, which allows tight muscles to let go, giving the body the freedom needed to move.

The breathing sequence that I’m sharing in this audio recording is a modified version of what’s called Circle Breathing. It’s a simple breath movement and the more frequently you do it, the more you’ll benefit. Anyone who has trouble sleeping may find that just 2 or 3 minutes of this breathing pattern does help.
